Featured Speakers, Coaches and Staff Kerri Cobb - Camp Director | | Kerri Cobb Camp Director Kerri is the owner of All-American Fast Pitch Softball. She is a professional Fast Pitch Softball Instructor with 19 years experience giving lessons statewide. Kerri specializes in pitching and hitting as well as other essential fundamentals of the game. She is a graduate of Christopher Newport University (CNU) and a Three-Time Softball All-American. She is a former ASA (2000 & 2002) All-American. Kerri was the first All-American Softball player and Hall of Fame inductee at CNU. In 2006 she was named to the USA South 25th Silver Anniversary Softball Team. Kerri has had the honor of working with and directing camps for MIZUNO USA along with Gold Medalists Jennie Finch and Natasha Watley. High School: Graduated from New Kent H.S. …Was a four-year letter winner in softball…VHSL State Softball Runner-up (1991)…Four-time First Team All-District…Three-Time First Team All-Region…Two-Time First Team All-State Selection…Two-Time All District Player of the Year…VHSL All-Star Team Selection | | | Angela Tincher AKRON RACERS PRO PITCHER FORMER VA TECH PITCHER Angela Tincher is a professional softball player for the Akron Racers of the NPF and LeoPalace 21 of the Japan Professional League. She was an All-American at Virginia Tech and the 2008 national player of the year, leading the Hokies to their first-ever Women’s College World Series appearance that year while also ranking first in the nation in strikeouts (651), ERA (0.62) and strikeouts per seven innings. A first-round draft selection of the Racers, from Eagle Rock, VA, she graduated summa cum laude from Tech. In her first season as the head coach at Virginia, Schmidt and the Cavaliers increased their ACC wins from one to six in 2008. In 2009, her second year, the Cavaliers finished with a winning record (25-22) for the first time since the 2006 campaign. | | | Kathy Riley Longwood University Women’s Softball Coach Kathy Riley is in her 13th year at Longwood University Softball during the 2009-10 season. The 2009 Lancers finished 23-23, their 12th consecutive 20-win season under Riley’s guidance . Coach Riley is now 361-201-1 (.642) through 12 years at the helm of the program. In 2008, the Lancers finished 27-18. Coach Riley was named the 2005 Division I Independent Coach of the Year. She was the 1981 Broderick Cup National Softball “Player of the Year” at East Carolina, leading East Carolina to a number one national ranking while garnering first-team All-American honors. Riley later played on five national championship softball teams during the summer months, gaining All-America status seven times. | | | Dorian Shaw University of Michigan (First base and Catcher) Sophomore (2009)... Knocked out a solo home run against #17 Virginia Tech in NCAA Super Regional | | | Erica Ayers Georgetown University Softball Coach Erica Ayers joins the Georgetown University softball program as an assistant coach after spending her previous nine years as an assistant softball coach at George Mason University. At Georgetown, Ayers main responsibilities will be developing the Hoyas’ hitters and infielders. She will also serve as the recruiting coordinator. Ayers had an outstanding 4 seasons as a player at George Mason University. She started 189 games and finished her career with a .286 batting average, 25 doubles and 66 RBI. She holds the Mason single-season record for games played (63) and is fourth in hits in a season with 59. High School: Graduated from Patrick Henry H.S. in Ashland. Was a four-year letter winner in softball. | | | Bobby Wills 45+ years experience as a player/coach, 1999 Virginia Roadsters Women’s Pro Coach. Coached the 2003, 2006, 2007 and 2008 ASA 23U Women’s National Championship Teams. Bobby has coached 41 ASA All-Americans.
